LAS VEGAS – November 10, 2015 – The World Famous Stoney’s Rockin’ Country, where country lives in Las Vegas, is kicking off the 2015 Duel in the Desert with a pre-party on November 11. This free event is open to the public at 7 p.m. Guests will enjoy delicious barbecue provided by Pot Liquor, voted “Best BBQ” by the Las Vegas Review-Journal, as well as activities that include line-dancing, mechanical bull riding, beer pong, pool tables and more.
From November 11-14 the Las Vegas Motor Speedway will host the 18th annual Duel In The Desert. This is the International Motor Contest Association’s (IMCA) biggest event of the season west of the Mississippi. Duel In The Desert had a record of 330 drivers participate last year, with expectations of surpassing that record predicted for this year’s event. The competition will feature the top IMCA Modified cars in the country in a heated battle for a Vegas-style $7,777.77 first-place check.
Stoney’s Rockin’ Country is the official sponsor for the Dream Chassis IMCA car of driver Ricky Thorton, Jr. who has over 45 feature wins including the IMCA Modified Track Champion at Arizona Speedway, Dakota Classic Modified Tour Series Champion, IMCA Desert Classic Winner at Canyon Speedway and more.
